結果と目的で語順が変わります。

結果

主語 + be動詞/動詞 + so + 形容詞/副詞 + that + 文

I was so tired that I fell asleep.

目的

メインの文 + so that + 主語 + can / could / will / would + 動詞の原形

I study hard so that I can pass the test.

so ... that と so that の見分け方

so の直後を確認します。形容詞・副詞なら結果、that + 主語なら目的です。

so + 形容詞/副詞 + that

結果（とても…なので〜する）— I was so tired that I fell asleep.

so that + 主語 + can/could...

目的（〜するために）— I study hard so that I can pass the test.

結果は so + 形容詞/副詞 + that の形。so that ではない。

I was so tired so that I fell asleep.

結果を表す形は so + 形容詞/副詞 + that です。tired の後ろには so that ではなく that を続けます。

so that の後ろは主語 + 動詞を置く。

I study hard so that can pass the test.

I study hard so that I can pass the test.

so that の後ろには主語 + 動詞を置きます。誰ができるのかを表すために I can pass とします。

that の後ろには結果を表す文が必要。

Tom spoke so quickly that.

so ... that の that の後ろには結果を表す文が必要です。何が起きたのかを文で続けます。
