複数形の作り方
語尾のパターンによって -s / -es / -ies / -ves / 不規則 / 単複同形を使い分けます。
-s — cat → cats
-es — box → boxes
y を ies に変える — city → cities
-ves に変える — leaf → leaves
個別に暗記 — child → children
変化なし — fish → fish
文法の形
名詞の単複に合わせて、be動詞・冠詞・指示代名詞も変わります。
A cat is cute.
Cats are cute.
文法のルール
2つ以上のときは名詞を複数形にする。
I have two cat.
I have two cats.
2つ以上のときは名詞を複数形にします。数字や many などの語があっても、名詞自体に -s / -es を付ける必要があります。
不規則変化の名詞は形を個別に覚える。
She has three childs.
She has three children.
child は不規則変化の名詞なので、childs ではなく children になります。man → men、woman → women も同じ仲間です。
不可算名詞は複数形にしない。
I want some informations.
I want some information.
information は water などと同じく 1 つ 2 つと数えない名詞なので、複数形 informations にはしません。
this + is（単数）、these + are（複数）で対応させる。
These is my friend.
This is my friend. / These are my friends.
1人なら this + is、複数なら these + are + 複数名詞にします。these と are は複数の名詞とセットです。
