使い分け
序数詞で何番目かを伝える
個数を数える基数詞とは形を分け、順番・日付・階数には序数詞を使います。
- 順番
- the first lesson「最初の授業」

文法の形
1st / 2nd / 3rd は不規則な形です。4以降は基本的に -th を使います。

文法のルール
順番・日付・階数には基数詞ではなく序数詞を使う。
I live on the five floor.
I live on the fifth floor.
順番を表すときは序数詞を使います。five は数量を表す基数詞なので、順番には序数詞の fifth を使います。
